Meet Our Founder

While motherhood and life as a military spouse certainly influenced her journey, Cheri Wissmann credits her 13 nieces and nephews for truly paving the way to her work as a doula. At the age of 13 she met her oldest niece, and began her first-hand education about the transitions of new babies, and their families.

From there, Cheri’s journey took her from software engineer, to fitness professional, to community college instructor, and finally, to postpartum doula and parent educator.

When working with clients, she brings an engineer’s attention to detail, a fitness professional’s knack for tailoring instruction to each unique individual, and a teacher’s enthusiasm for sharing knowledge. And she ties it all together with a big dose of her easy-going and down-to-earth demeanor.

Cheri is a ProDoula certfied Infant Feeding Specialist and Postpartum & Infant Care Doula.

She earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Information Science from the Pennsylvania State University (Let’s Go State!).
